What Are Our Concerns?

STOP elected officials from further attacking private property owner rights.

Evictions

Since 1996, Landlords have been seeking payment-into-escrow legislation and liberal politicians have stopped it. It's time to eliminate those politicians that stand in the way of landlords rightfully collecting the quarter billion dollars they lose each year in the State of Connecticut.

Property Taxes

States banned evictions but not property taxes during Covid-19. Without rent, thousands of private landlords exhausted personal savings and extended their credit to the limit to pay our ever-increasing property taxes while cutting or suspending services.
Run-away taxation is a threat to affordable housing and our economy.

Radical Political Agendas

RENT CONTROL...BAN SHORT-TERM RENTALS...
Private landlords do not have a place in this agenda....It's happening in cities like Boston, New York, Seattle, Minneapolis

STOP IT now before it gets to your hometown.

About the Property Owner Defense League

In March of 2016 several concerned landlords came together to form a Political Action Committee (PAC) called the Property Owner Defense League – PAC to help improve the political climate for property owners. The sole purpose of any PAC is to influence the outcome of elections. The PAC was established as an “Independent Expenditure PAC” meaning that it can have no direct coordination or communication with any candidate it supports or opposes, thus the name Independent Expenditure. Politicians have determined the fate of landlords cash flow with numerous hostile policies and the Covid Pandemic has shown just how much difference landlords are treated between “Red and Blue” states. Now is the time to get involved and help protect private property owner rights.
